The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is proud to collaborate with Mobilize Recovery 2023 on Sept. 17–19 in Washington, DC, as well as the Mobilize Recovery Day of Service on Sept. 30.

Mobilize Recovery is an annual experience that brings participants together to build capacity for organized community engagement for people in recovery, family members, and recovery allies. Its mission is to expand policy to support recovery, create connections to supportive services that are vital and lifesaving, and to engage affected individuals in meaningful action. In the process, Mobilize Recovery will strengthen community bonds and interpersonal connections — addressing not only the addiction and mental health crisis but also the nation’s epidemic of loneliness.

Each year, hundreds of people in recovery, family members and recovery allies attend Mobilize Recovery — an annual convening to learn innovative strategies and tactics to work towards recovery solutions for our communities. Mobilizers connect with other recovery peers, advocates, and grassroots allies to gain access to new tools & streamline their community engagement and advocacy work to end overdose & inspire recovery solutions.

Now in its fifth year, Mobilize Recovery 2023 will continue to build upon its impact, success and reach by hosting this year’s national event in-person in Washington, D.C. from September 17–19. We’re also excited to share that Macklemore will be joining the Mobilize Recovery community in-person at the D.C. event. Through his participation, the Grammy Award-winning artist will be joining his peers in recovery, committing to end overdose through various impact projects in local communities across the United States.

This year, Mobilize Recovery will work with participants to develop action-oriented goals that can be measured and scaled. We believe in the power of a bottom-up approach that supports advocates, creators, and communities on the front lines.

In addition to the Washington, D.C. event, Mobilize Recovery 2023 will be hosting in-person regional events that will take place throughout the months of September and October 2023.

Whether it’s through participating in Washington, D.C., attending in-person regional events, or being part of the Mobilize Recovery 2023 action model, we hope you can find a way to join us as we work together to end addiction and inspire solutions for recovery.
